Wedded Wilson

Woah. It's been a long few weeks. I can't believe we made it without one of us getting sick. That was amazing. Good thing I started Micah on vitamins a few weeks ago. I hope that is helping his immune system. What a crazy, fun, exhausting, excited adventure we had. Going to Disney...Dallas...and a friends wedding. It was all so much fun and Micah did so well. He is back to his regular routine and I think he's happy to be in his own bed. I'm so happy I have a separate room to put him in again! Way easier.

We got to Kansas City on Friday afternoon and on the way to the rental car I realized we forgot Craig's suit and my dress. I say "we" but Craig was supposed to remember. I mean he is a groomsman!! He put the suit bag in the closet. He told me the night before to remind him, but of course I totally forgot. The crazy part is that I was the one that remembered and he is the one IN the wedding. Anyways all I have to say is thank goodness for neighbors. Our next door neighbor doesn't work on Fridays and went in our house grabbed the suit bag and overnighted to us at the hotel. I mean seriously? That is the best neighbor in the whole world!!! I don't know what we would have done. My sister's just live a little too far to help in that kind of situation. So I am so thankful everything turned out good. Let's just say it was an extra 200 bucks we were not expecting to pay. For the next month I'm on a spending freeze after this wedding. We are supposed to get M's pictures done this weekend but I'm not even sure that's going to happen now. :(
Other than forgetting our dress attire, the wedding was so beautiful. It turned out to be a pretty day, even though it was a bit chilly. The hotel was really nice and Micah got to come dance for a bit since my parents were with him in the hotel. Craig went out and got him his own suit the day of the wedding, because we didn't even think about having him come. Then we saw all these kids there and we were like... Micah loves to dance!! It was nice to not have him the whole time and be able to have a night to ourselves. I stayed out till midnight ya'll!! Crazy. haha I decided to give the wedding a hashtag and didn't even tell the Groom. haha I liked #weddedwilson. I thought it had a good ring to it.

Here is the stuff we forgot to bring. Craig looked so handsome!!
This is all the guys' friend Katie. She was in the dorms with them when they were all freshman at SIUC.
Our little family!

During the day on Saturday we got to walk around the little downtown area and they had some fun shops. Micah got to go on a little trolley with Papa like Daniel Tiger!!

It was sad when we had to say goodbye. Micah had so much fun with Nana and Papa and didn't even care that he didn't see us very much. It was nice to have a little break

This week seems like a blur. So weird being home and not having to pack for something else. haha Good thing we are staying home for a bit because I think we were losing our minds at the end there.
Craig has a cute video of Micah dancing at the wedding but I will have to upload it to my youtube page soon.

I have a little over a week to get everything ready for M's party. I think I have everything except the food and the cake. I need to go on Friday to Publix and order it. Or I might go to costco and see what they can do. I don't know if I want a huge cake from costco, but might at well! ha

Here is a few photos from today's park adventure with our friend Victor.

Dallas

Hey everyone!

Dallas is going great! Micah is enjoying his time with those that miss him and love him. I feel so loved here with everyone making an effort to see me and helping me out. It has been a great joy. Ashley and Cory were the sweetest and we got to spend Saturday night and Sunday with them. I'm so glad I came in early to be with them. Too bad it's been pretty rainy here. We did go to an awesome new park by Ashley's house. Micah also went to his first hibachi dinner experience. He liked it a lot.

Yesterday I saw my girls from life group/moms group. It was so nice to catch up. Two of them are pregnant with boys again. We all have boys and more boys on the way. Someone needs to break the chain!! Haha

We got to the hotel last night and it's really nice. It has a pool that we will hopefully check out tonight.
Here are some pics from our adventure so far.

Videos

Lots of videos to post from vacation and stuff I wasn't able to put on here from my phone. I can only do so much.

Here is Craig and all the kids swinging at the park. Such a cute moment to capture.

Micah loves his little grill.  He likes to be just like daddy.

First night at the pool. He was so excited to be in the water.

This is the whole video of Micah losing his pants. They were size 2t. Not sure why they were so big on him.

This was a little bit of this morning. He was laughing so hard but I only caught the last bit.

Mini vaca

I'm laying in a king size bed right now waiting for my sweet little man to wake from his nap. This little vaca has been nothing less than a dream come true. Its been beautiful here ((very hot too)) and I couldn't ask for a better toddler. I really lucked out with him. He has loved every second we have been at this resort. And surprisingly it's an amazing resort. I feel like it's too good. It has two huge pools outside with kiddie pools, splash pads, and kids galore. Everyday Micah made several new friends. It was so nice to lay by the pool these last two days while Craig was at work. M loves the water a little too much. I had to hold him back from jumping in the water without a life vest! Wow..kids really have no idea they can't swim. That was tough. But today he wore his jacket and got it a little better.

We went to the rainforest cafe on Saturday in Disney Springs and Micah loved it. Craig and I were ready to go before he was! That was a first!
Sunday we took the day to go to the magic kingdom. It was super busy and very hot. I think the anticipation of going was a little more exciting than being there. Haha it was fun though. He got to ride about 5 rides before it was parade time! After the parade we left and M fell asleep in the stroller. He was wiped.

We've been at the pool ever since. He has been such a love bug on this vacation and makes me so happy that we got to spend all the time together as a family. The king size bed at night is a great pleasure too. We all snuggle, eat popcorn and watch a show. He has slept through the night and taken great naps. We play at the pool until around 1:30 and take a nap till 4:30!
Then we pick up Craig from work and go to dinner. Last night we did Brazilian steakhouse! It was delicious!!

Love you all

Weekend birthday

So happy we got to spend time with Hannah and Rachel at a really nice park in Sandy Springs on Saturday. The kids had a blast at the park and then we got to walk a bit and then feed some ducks. Craig got all the kids on the big swing and it was so cute how they all laughed and giggled together. I will post it later. Its on my YouTube page.

Sunday we went to church and then a festival in Smyrna. It was so much fun. Micah went in the bounce houses and we thought he would be too small to climb them and go down the slide and he surprised us all. He went through a bunch of times while I got to shop around some of the tents with my neighbor and friend Lindsay. I bought this awesome cursive letter H and I'm going to spray paint it and put it in our living room. I hope it turns out good.

Lately our bedtime routine has changed and Craig and I are loving it. M has been loving this new show called Lion Guard. It's a spin-off of Lion King and he also found a love for popcorn. After bath we go downstairs and watch lion guard and have popcorn and he loves it. Then we go upstairs read a book and he goes to bed right away. Some nights it's a little later but it's been so fun to snuggle with him and see him get so excited to be with us and eat popcorn.

I'm getting excited for our trip this weekend. I bought some pool toys and pumped to get Micah swimming. I hope the hotel we go to has a kid friendly pool.

Love you all and hope you are having a blessed week.

It's time to fly

Micah is back to his sweet, loving, running around self. I'm so happy to have him back to normal. He has been such a joy to be around and I'm loving every minute. Today he woke up and decided to talk in sentences. It's like he knows he's about to turn 2 and he is certainly acting like it. At the park today I was chasing him and when I would stop he would look and me and say, "Get me, Mom." How could I resist? We ran around so much I thought he was going to fall right on his face because he was breathing so heavily. I am thinking he may take a long nap. He also likes to say, "Hold you, Mom," since I always ask him if I can hold him (you). It's so cute the things he says now. Also repeats practically everything Craig and I say so we really need to be careful now.

He's getting better at naps, but since we have so much coming up this next month I'm nervous about our routine changing and him not sleeping as well. Here it goes. April 30th we leave for Orlando and stay till that Wednesday around May 4th. Then M and I are going to Dallas on the 7th and staying with my friend Ashley until Craig comes into town on that Monday. I told my friends in Dallas if Craig went there for work I would go for sure. And all the sudden he has to go there and it's right before M's birthday. So I can't resist. I won't be able to fly with him after he turns 2! So I'm pushing us to do as much as possible. I also got a flight round trip for $160 so it was meant to be. We will get back Wednesday night that next week and then leave for Kansas City on Friday morning! Ahhhh. I hope M survives all this. I almost don't want to take him anywhere next week to preserve him incase another virus goes around. He usually doesn't get sick, but goodness gracious ya'll we are going to need all the health we can get.  Pray we can do all this and still have a good time. I hope he gets used to napping in the stroller at Disney and maybe he will other places too. I need to forget about being nervous and just get excited. He's a great age to do things with and he understands what I say and he can communicate back. So I might be pushing his birthday party till Memorial weekend. I haven't decided for sure, but it just seems like way too much. The pool doesn't even open till that weekend, so I'm thinking that's what we will do.

So.. That's May and then comes June in Tennessee and July in Tennessee. Micah will be such a good age to take on vacation! I am so excited for all the adventures coming up. ((I'm not sleeping that well at night because of it either)) but I'm trying to be laid back about everything. Deep breaths!!

M and I went to the outlet mall on Tuesday and had a fun day shopping. We had to get daddy something for the wedding he is in on May 15th. I took a pic of him riding the ride at the outlet...but other than that I've been trying to keep my phone in the car when we play at the park. It's to hard to hold in since yoga pants don't have pockets. Ugh. I wish they did!!

Hope you are having an awesome week!!

Oh yes... and this picture is the best. We went to the park on Monday and met some moms. Micah was spying on some girls underneath and was loving it. He kept "roaring" at them because he is a lion now...all the time. One little girl actually starting crying. haha (whoops)

Park and play

Phew!!!!! I don't know how much more I could take of this sickness. Micah cried almost all day on Saturday and Craig and I almost went insane. I had to leave for a bit and take a walk before I snapped. Oh but today...today was a new day my friends. My sweet, kind, loving, happy little boy came back to me. I thought I had lost him for a little bit. I was so happy when he wanted a hug and not just to be held all day and cry. Oh my! Thank you all for your prayers. I'm really not sure who needed it more.

Micah didn't eat anything except for applesauce Saturday. Tonight he finally had a ton of Mac and cheese a popsicle and of course a cookie. I was all about giving him as much food as possible since he was starting to look too skinny.

Today we went to the park and took a walk. I got to go to church and see my friend's baby dedication while Craig watched M for me. It was a great day. So much love I felt today and actually a lot of emotions. (surprise) I'm telling you this turning 30 thing has got me all crazy emo.

I am excited to get back to normal. Just sad we missed such a beautiful weekend with this sickness. Hoping we all feel good for the next one!! Also...2 weeks till Florida. Looking forward to that.

Love you all
