Down to the wire

It's down to the last few days before we take off for our cruise and I have come down with a little cold. It may be allergies, and I am trying so hard to kick it fast. Going to bed around 9 pm the last two nights and getting as much sleep as possible. This morning Noelle woke up around 6:45 a.m. and I got up and made her bottle...then she fell back asleep and is still sleeping at 8 a.m.!!!! How did this happen?? I always lay in bed and hope she will fall back asleep and it never happens!! Goodness...atleast I got a little bit of quiet time this morning and ready for the day.

Micah has a concert tonight at his school and we are excited about it. Tomorrow night Grandmere and Grandpere, Hannah and Zeke are coming in late. I have save all the cleaning for today and tomorrow, because lets face it...if I did it on Monday you would never know on Friday. Ha. It's always right before anyone comes. I try and hold off.

Micah is so very excited for his cousins. He has been such a sweet boy and I said goodbye to his naps this week. He is going to bed around 7:30 p.m. and so I just have to remember if he has a hard day or week he may need more sleep. I just don't have the patience to get him down, especially since Noelle never goes down at the same time. I never get a break anymore...so it's been rough and probably why I have a cold.

We have been outside a ton again and loving it. We bought a tree swing for our front yard and I'm so excited for Micah to use it today. I hope he enjoys it as much as I want him too!

We had Samuel's birthday party this past weekend at an indoor pool. No pictures of the pool but some of the after. Micah loves this little boy so much. They are such buddies. I'm so glad I was able to meet Camille at Chickfila and held on to this friendship. She is awesome....and can be even more laid back than me!

I bought him new swimsuit, but it's still too big.

They kind of look like brothers here..

Micah got his hair cut and got a ride from this kid at the park. He looks like one cool dude.

Wednesday we found a new park with a little pond. We saw some turtles and ducks.

I am so excited for our vacation and I can't wait to show all of you our photos and tell you about the experiences we get to venture on. Until then... Love you all

Spring Break

It's been an amazing week of playing outside and with friends. Spring Break for me has been much more enjoyable than I thought. With the nice weather and me being way more flexible with Noelle and her naps I have enjoyed getting out everyday and sometimes not coming home till late. We tried to stay home in the morning on Monday and then get out later so Noelle could take a second nap in the car. Then headed to the gym. Tuesday met up with friends and got to hang out at a jump place then eat pizza (and a little bit of wine). Got home for both kids to take a nap and then headed to the park in the afternoon. The sun staying out later has given me more energy to stay up and out longer. I just love being outside with the kids and I know it's going to get to the point where it's too hot, so I will be out there every second that it's in the 60, 70s.
Wednesday we went to the gym and then park later. And Thursday had a play date in the morning and went shopping afterwards for some new Nike's for Noelle. She needed a size up so bad. This morning we met Camille and her two kids Samuel and Kinsley. They are the same ages as Micah and Noelle. It was the most beautiful day out. 73 degrees and we all just loved it. Ahhhh....I've been waiting for this weather and I just love it. It's so good to feel the breeze on your face. Noelle is such a little daredevil. She is doing the small play place all by herself with little to no help from me. It's really nice because I can actually sit and just watch sometimes.

I can't believe it's less than 10 days till our cruise. I need to get all my summer clothes down and organize by day and outfit. I feel like I always bring either too little or too much. I want to have the right amount and plan it out a little better. I am only bringing 4 bathing suits. Is that enough? LOL. I bought a one piece zip up, a two piece (mom) suit, and brining one old one. I'm just so so excited to relax and not have to worry about cooking, or cleaning or wiping booties. Thanks so much for Grandpere and Grandmere for giving us this trip!! We are so grateful.

4 year anniversary

So I just received a congrats from my General Manager at WPSD-TV in Paducah, KY. He wrote me on LinkedIn and said congrats on staying home with my kids. I realized that LinkedIn had said I had started my blog four years ago and I guess they wanted to congratulate me on my accomplishment. That's so crazy that I started the blog that long ago. I can't believe I've been writing for so long and keeping my life on the internet. So congrats to all of you reading this right now too!! You have been keeping up with the Hooker's for a long time!

When I think about working again I get so confused, because I really don't know what I want to do. I try to just enjoy the moment and be with these cute kids and try to parent them as best I can. But it does remind me of those days and what I should do next with my degree.
