Happy Turkey....Everyday

This Thanksgiving was definitely one to remember. I wasn't as lively as I usually am. I found out on Wednesday that I had bronchitis and got a steroid shot in my booty and some antibiotics. I thought I would be feeling better by the next day, but it didn't work out so. I was really bad until about yesterday. I can't believe how bad it was for me. The crazy thing is my kids are fine and have been for the last week and a half. I think it was hard of Micah to understand because I couldn't do everything I normally do.

Craig picked up a Turkey for JUST US. He got it at Kroger for like 6 bucks and it was HUGE. So here is what we have made with all the turkey:
Shepards Pie, turkey sandwiches, turkey quesadillas, turkey soup (awesome for my sickness), just turkey with mashed potatoes and carrots, and tonight we will have baked potatoes with turkey and maybe do some bbq sauce with the works. It's been a long week, but we really had fun being home and having dad with us. We got a little too used to it. Now Micah is all about his dad and Noelle is following close. She is still nursing but I can tell once we stop she may become a daddy's girl.

Costco fun the night before Thanksgiving in our Christmas jimmies

Noelle and Micah got their first present from Santa since they won't be here for Christmas. It's a reindeer with a Christmas book. We named them Blitzen and Comet.

We are starting to call her destruct-o because she likes to destroy everything we make. Even the Christmas tree!!!

Friday:

We even got to see our favs Jackson and Logan on Friday. It was a gorgeous day to play at the park.

On Saturday we took a day to go to the Dallas Farmers Market since it was "shop Local" Saturday. It was so cute and we all had some tasty samples and fun lunch. Micah chose a chocolate covered apple. I have to say it's been high 70s and beautiful weather. We keep trying to get outside as much as possible to enjoy these temps.

This is a cup of corn. haha Elote.

Sunday:
We all got to church and enjoyed a day of celebrating grace. Grace is the best gift of all and it's free. So thankful God gives me grace in all circumstances even when I most definitely don't deserve it.  And we ended the night with a park play at Berkner Park (Micah calls it Burger Park)

As we are so thankful for our family and time together our heart breaks for those who are suffering this week. We have had some tough situations arise and are praying fervently for our loved ones who are struggling. Life is so short and we cannot predict anything. Trying to remind myself daily of heaven and that there will be no more pain or suffering one day. Life can be so joyful with these little people, and then it can all end so suddenly. Life is precious. God is in control and we have to believe his plan is the best, even when it's unimaginable.

We love you all.
