Grandmere and grandpere

What a crazy weekend. We had so much fun and the days went by so fast. Not only were grandparents here, but we had some life changing decisions happen. Thursday afternoon when they had just arrived, Craig got the call and was offered the position in Dallas. It was our answer we have been waiting for. My heart sank as I thought of leaving my sisters and friends, but I was overcome with joy at the same time to return to a place I know and love. Also, the fact that we had no idea where we would live or if we wanted to buy or rent...it was such a hard time. Finally we could start making plans. So my friend from Dallas sent us a few homes and I really liked one of them. She called me on Memorial Day an said she could stop by the home and show us through FaceTime. Seemed like a good idea. Her and her family walked inside the home and we got the full tour. There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was beautiful and had all of are requirements. So we decided to put in an offer and get a taste of what they wanted. They came back at FULL price which was a little discouraging, but we felt they knew the house was worth what they were asking. So we came back and full price and asked them to pay closing costs. THEY ACCEPTED!! Now we are scrambling to do everything we need to in the time. Back to Grandparents....I can't believe how God works. He knew we needed to have someone there we could bounce ideas off of. It was so nice that Kim loved the home too. It made me feel at ease. The contract even says we can close by JUNE 21st. WOW. I mean I don't want to get my hopes too high, but wow!! How wonderful.

Now to our wonderful time with them...Thursday we went out to dinner at Pappasitos. It is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Friday it was the most gorgeous weather, and we were at the zoo. It was perfect and everyone was comfortable and happy! I could not have asked for better weather. Saturday we had a pool party in the neighborhood. Lots of food was made for one of my friends birthday. Rachel even came to hang out with us for a bit. So nice to be with her too!! Sunday was church and brunch and then we chilled at home. Monday we went to the outlets and all got some new clothes and shoes. Noelle got some new headbands and I got a shirt that says, "No Days Off." It was a running shirt, but I couldn't pass it up for what it meant for me. I will wear it with pride as if I had no days off of running. My no days off seems a bit harder...that's just my opinion. Tuesday we has cinnamon rolls and started the crazy process of buying a home. Then took Micah to Chucky (Chunky as he calls it) Cheese for some fun games.
Micah cried because he wanted to go with and drop them off at the airport...so I gave in and let him.  He did take a little nap on the way there, but was happy he was a part of the trip.  We had such a wonderful time. Baby NJ could not get enough snuggles with her grandma. I mean she was such a snuggle bug to her...it melted my heart everyday. It meant so much to us that they were able to come and spend time with Micah and Noelle. They love them so much.

Please be praying for our next steps in buying this house. This is our first time buying and still nervous about it all. Today is the inspection, so we should find out if there's anything big going on. We love you all and appreciate your prayers for our family.
